Not OP, but I think the point is rather: isn't it strange how, through money, something as mystical as the absolute power of kings can be quantified and sliced up into tiny units.

Pretty much. Most of the crowd they liked have been tarred by popular academia, except Nietzsche for some fucking reason.

He was buried mid-WWII because people identified his writings on heroes (correctly or incorrectly) as enabling and encouraging the Nazis. Check out Eric Bently's book "A Century of Hero Worship" if you want to actually read the contemporary view of him at the time.
