Everyplace ive found it its dubbed. The only subs ive found either have a large watermark, horrible video playback, or extremely low quality. Ive tried torrenting and keep running into some giant wack ass QLAFgrade watermark taking up 30% of the damn screen.
Im just now trying to get into Gundam and im trying watching the Universal Century in chronological order.

It depends on the series and type of story being told, atleast to me. Im told Gundam is a space opera/war drama about deep political intrigue. Which sounds like something id want to start at the beginning. And dont get me wrong, im very excited for the original series. I just really want to get the backstory to a character i believe i will really enjoy. And all of my friends tell me to start with Origin/Advent

The Origin is a retelling of 0079 as told by the original anime's character designer. It is not a true prequel by Tomino. It is supplemental and not required.

You can watch it, but it isn't canon and it will do nothing but probably confuse the fuck out of you.

Well now that i know this i can go into the series expecting to potentially be confused. I heavily understand that separate writers lead to inconsistencies and shit. The Origins ones ive seen didnt really dissuade me from watching it first.
But also not to be a dick. But i didnt come here to argue on what to watch first. I need help trying to find WHERE to even watch this damn series. And it seems like Crunchyroll has got their grubby little subhuman claws on the SUB and made it impossible to watch it anywhere but there.

The beginning is 0079, my man. What you're trying to watch is an alternate universe that's going to give you a heavily warped impression of the original story, it's designed to be watched by people already familiar with it.
If you want the politics of the setting, why wouldn't you watch the original works by the original creative team in the originally intended order, THEN branch out to other people's interpretations of it?

0079 is a coming of age story with One Year War as a backdrop.
If you want an actual political intrigue, watch Logh or Dougram.
