Also, Legacy Collection 2 skipped Mega Man and Bass despite it being referenced in Mega Man 9. And who knows if they'll ever rerelease the WonderSwan game. There's also Soccer, and the Monopoly. I think they may have rereleased the arcade games at some point.

Geo was fine, but boy did the writers not have any idea what to do with him after the first game. He became Lan lite by SF3, and his dynamic with Omega-Xis suffered for it.
And it's a shame because I'm happy the kid cheered up. It just didn't feel like he mattered anymore, like how the latter half of BN treated Hub.

>Have to pray that the Noise form you get is the one you want

If there's any silver lining of this getting a PC version it'll hopefully modding this bullshit out of the game

Also they should have just made us play as Ace since he was basically the protagonist of the game. Not that he should have been, given that he is easily the blandest character in the game

List of games that came to the West:
>Megaman World I-V, Mega Man & Bass, Mega Man Soccer, Mega Man: The Wily Wars, Mega Man: Battle & Chase, Mega Man: The Power Battle, Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters, Mega Man Xtreme 1&2, Mega Man X: Command Mission, Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge, Mega Man Network Transmission, Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team DS, Mega Man Powered Up and Mega Man Maverick Hunter X

And these don't count the games that got fan translation or Meganan X Street Fighter, since that started as a free fan game. And the Game Boy Megaman games are notoriously known to almost have a collection before they got released digitally, and having improved versions made by the community.

General opinion changed by Star Force 3, but the series was already on the chopping block by then. These days Star Force is looked at more fondly, and I've seen a lot of people happy about it in English and Japanese social media, it's not like ZX where the fan base is so small that no one really cared about their inclusion in the Zero collection, people were just happy to have the Zero games.

Boring plot about ooparts and the land of Mu, very over done in Japanese media and it doesn't really progress the plot much, and if your a Soniafag it gives you her most retarded moment in the series. 1. Like BN4 it was a bunch idiotic plots so to force fights. No good character moments like 1 and 3

2. Fucking Rogue. He's gotta be the absolute worst attempt at the edgelord rival who's a total asshole and constantly spouting about how friendship is lame and never learns or changes his tune no matter how many times the hero kicks his ass. The game even makes it a point and throws in his face of exactly how society of edgelords that hate and want nothing to do with anyone else would go (badly, the whole thing would collapse) and he still just ignores it. It almost comes off like a parody of the trope and it might be because half the reason he exists were people bitching that SF1 didn't give Mega a Protoman/Bass style chuuni rival and some think the team deliberate did an asshole take on it as a result

The MMBN collection was one of two HD remasters I've bought. The other was the .hack//GU one. MMBN re-added some stuff that was missing from the American releases and has working online.

I'm presuming the Star Force collection will be the same way. It's a shame that they didn't include the two DS BN games in either of the collections.

I don't like how this game is entirely built around counters. Back in MMBN it exist so vanilla mega can compete with soul unison combos, but you straight up can't play the game optimally without countering in SF. I feel like it made so many sacrifices in the name of trying to be a tech demo of DS technology with things like that garbage garbage mini-game and how shifting the fights onto a 3D axis only served to make them feel more lame because there's way more limitations on how combat is designed.
Also the more explicit superhero tone didn't really do it for me. Part of the world building I liked in Battle Network was how ubiquitous NetNavis were so the equivalents in SF being only for certain characters and of them usually it's only temporary I didn't like. And weirdly despite the obvious path into Star Force being "kid who played BN -> continues to Star Force" I got the an impression the overall tone was aimed at kids who were slightly younger than the target demographic of BN which was weird.

>Autosave is confirmed, touch screen features from SF1 switch to button presses, Free Camera mode lets you scan the whole area like BN5 liberation missions, Geo/Megaman has a sprint option, various ways to change the two top and bottom screens and can use vertical screen display option (tate mode) to emulate classic DS, easy mode is being planned as well as options for no random encounters and the return of buster MAX, no longer have to manually switch between navigating in-game menus and interactions as they're automatic, remade title screens for the games, Koji Oda who directed MM11 returns to direct the SF Colleton and FULL ARRANGE BGM OF EVERY GAME.

THE BAD
>Can no longer edit your name as Geo is now the default, removed the On Air local multiplayer feature, and removed the custom profile editor

THE UGLY
>Profile icons with filters exhibit AI upscaling, graphical errors, and rendering issues stemming from the 2D/3D models.

Most of the flaws might likely be looked at, which is why there's no release date. And even with the bad parts that's shown from TGS, there's a lot of potential for this being way more than a rom dump.

The sad truth is that Star Force was front and center when it came to the highest point of Megaman fatigue back in the day, where interest just wasn't there after Battle Network finished in both the game series and anime.

It's even more apparent with the anime that helped promote Star Force suffered Battle Networks' tail end airing of a 15-minute series, with it being canceled before any adaptation of SF 3 came to be.

Like the series or not, Star Force was the victim of the game community as a whole being tired of Megaman, which is why no new series was ever made after it.

While that's true, the SF anime also suffered from the fatigue and was the biggest afterthought with the least effort put to it; and also had the problem of coming out after the dull Beast+ which at the point in time overstayed it's welcome.

At the very least, BR had some cute moments and decent animation from time to time but was still the low point in Megaman anime.

Personally I never liked these collections. Capcom just doesn't port them right, many have input lag, they shove DRM into them for no reason, and oftentimes the extra features really aren't worth the hassle. Between you and me, I just prefer the older ports of the games, but if you want to compensate them for their work in the hope of getting a new installment, I guess there's nothing wrong with supporting the games.

>oftentimes the extra features really aren't worth the hassle
The BN collection is at least worth it, as it includes items not released in the older ports. Since at this point it'll take a miracle for Capcom to steer away from MH and RE and make a new Megaman game, the only problem is that there are so many different types that not everybody will be satisfied, and they'll just make another classic title and call it a day.
