Isekai shit
What did we think of these two shows? Which one did you like best? These are practically sister stories, given how many elements they share. Hell, they were both made by the same author.
Despite the lower production values, i liked Mobsekai better, simply because i find Leon much more likeable than liam. Don't get me wrong, they aren't anything great, but they are okay time wasters if you have nothing better to watch/read.

Also the second arc manga of mobsekai started a while ago.
When is the second season coming out, anyway?

>When is the second season coming out, anyway?
Hopefully not. They fucked up bad with the character designs in the first season.

The promo art for S2 seems like they are changing the art for something more normal-ish.

Why do isekai have so much sex?

I like both, but the I prefer mobusekai. Leon and Luxion's banter just makes for a more enjoyable experience.

Alzer Republic arc is going to kill all interest in this series. It was by far the worst part of thr LN.

I've never seen the one on the left, but from my experience watching the first episode of the right I can only imagine it's fucking garbage as well. Never got turned off from a show that fast.

Also I want more shows where the /m/ elements are the fish out of water, like Isekai Red. Someone should take that idea where the Princess summons a brave hero to save their world and they wind up summoning a Yuusha and turn it into a full thing.

Funnily enough the one story that doesn' t have giant robots is better than the two that do(but it's not the fault of giant robots despite what anti-/m/fags say).

I think that's what they were talking about.

Many such cases. My personal favorite Gainax work is Kare Kano.

I liked it when the MC went to another world and then got back after adventuring.
Now these days it's all a massive power fantasy because the average Jap man's life is full of bad work experience, stress and misery.

>Which one did you like best?
neither because fuck this wish fulfillment genre that always has harem shit tacked on

There are some isekai that don't have harems like Magic Knight Rayearth and Red Ranger.

how is this supposed to be a fucking otome game did the author actually play one

Most 'otomege' types of manga/LNs are barely like the otomege they supposedly riff off. For instance, a lot of the 'otomege villainess' types of works are closer to riffing off old school shojou manga than actual otomege. It's very weird.

I'd take mechasekai over the coming season's mecha drought (unless you count Star Wars Visions and an IBO short)

Knights and magic is the best isekai mecha, but between those two mob is the better of them.
>>23529341
Rayearth isn't isekai. It's a magical girl mecha show that just happens to have isekai. Isekai as a genre vs isekai as a plot device. Completely different things. It's like a show that has mecha in setting but the characters never pilot one and it's just off in the background(like maybe you see one fly by in a couple episodes and that's it) while the plot focuses on romcom stuff. You wouldn't call that a mecha show would you? If anything the core of isekai is it's narou style writing clichés. Without that it's not isekai(genre).
>>23531079
A lot of them feel more inspired by a eushully/ninetail/alicesoft style eroge than an otome game. Not nearly enough cages and pool throwing to be proper otome.

Knights & Magic was surprisingly great, but I'd put Dunbine down as the best of them. Would put that Tenchi Geminar thing above it too, and Dual on the same level (though nearly-identical alternate dimension isn't really the "intended" use of isekai)
It's too bad the law of LN adaptations these days states that the actual good ones just get 1 season to serve as an advertisement, while all the interchangeable full paragraph title demon lord slop gets 5+

Unfortunately, I imagine it's because that's the kind of stuff that sells. Most people would rather read the same story over and over again rather than anything unique. Especially, if the protagonist is as bland as possible to make it easy for the reader to self-insert as them. One isekai I liked was Hunting in Another World With My Elf Wife because it at least tries to be different. The MC isn't just some NEET, he's not trying to save the world, and he has one love interest rather than a harem of 50 girls. I'll take it over any of the "I got kicked out of my party for being weak but turns out I'm actually the strongest" crap.

>Hunting in Another World With My Elf Wife
This one was kind of interesting, but only because of the author's apparent interest in firearms.
