>>42262682>detox"Fandom" and fiction is anything you want to make it. I don't know why the hysterical ignoramuses born ~1991 and on, as first seen in ~2013-15 with the "leaving the fandom" narcissism, fail to realize the nature of the "individual" and that the "community" is made of "individuals", not the other way around. Instead "fandom" is understood as essentially a party (in the Pinkie Pie sense), when in reality it is a collection of individuals who without much group influence have taken a fancy to something and discuss and contribute content about it.
The issue you have is presumably a distaste with the "canon". But canonicity is arbitrary and ultimately what you want it to be. If the issue is other people, then "detox" from "fandom" isn't going to help, because these normalfags and quasi-normalfags are everywhere and inescapable, and their "contributions" to the greater, homogenized culture are everywhere and inescapable, as evidenced by your very usage of the slang word "detox" and your choice of action regarding it. You had best just turn off your Internet, and interact socially as little as possible. This way you most importantly can develop your own character and tastes, unfettered by copyright holders and the mob.
