{Incident 3 - The Balcony Confession}
Prince Blueblood: *gazes at the moon* “Unfortunately, my mother is still up there after all these years..”
[Blueblood’s eyes darken]
Prince Blueblood: “My wretched aunt thought she could get away with banishing my mother, her eldest sister. Luna wasn’t there to stop her. Even when my father begged Celestia to bring her back she wouldn’t. She disobeyed the King’s order.”
Rarity: *visibly stunned, her ears flatten a little as she steps back* "Your mother...? You don’t mean—Nightmare Moon?"
Prince Blueblood: *softly, but with unmistakable pride* "Yes, that Nightmare Moon. Queen Nightmare Moon."
[He steps forward slowly, his voice smooth and calm, but burning with quiet resentment.]
Prince Blueblood: "She was not some monster, Miss Rarity. She was a ruler who saw the truth—who dared to defy Celestia’s tyrannical light."
Rarity: *tries to compose herself, sensing the fire behind his words* "But… surely, she tried to bring about eternal night. That wasn’t—"
Prince Blueblood: *cuts in with quiet steel* "Because the world was blind to the beauty of darkness. And now, all I have is her memory… and a broken throne built from lies."
Rarity: *unsure* "You speak with such conviction... and pain. I had no idea..."
Prince Blueblood: *smiles faintly, for the first time* "Nopony does. They see my coat, my eyes, and shiver. But they forget—behind every shadow... there's a light that was cast aside."
Prince Blueblood: “It sickens me to call Celestia my aunt.”
[his tone softens]
Prince Blueblood: “The memory of seeing my father shed tears haunts me, and it makes me resent Celestia even more. I plan on bringing my mother back but since two of the Elements of Harmony are linked to you and my cousin, I can’t just find the Elements myself.”
Rarity: “Who is your cousin?”
Prince Blueblood: “Twilight Sparkle, Night Light’s Daughter.”
Rarity: *gasps, eyes widening* “That would make her…”
Prince Blueblood: *nods slowly* “Royal by blood, as well as make her my cousin. Daughter of the Moon’s twin. And therefore, Celestia’s niece—just as I am. Twilight Sparkle is family, though she doesn’t know the full truth.”
Rarity: *steps forward cautiously* “Why are you telling me this?”
Prince Blueblood: *his tone darkens slightly, a glimmer of strategy in his gaze* “Because you, Miss Rarity, are one of the keys to the Elements. And unlike Twilight, you are not so blinded by Celestia’s light. I need someone with vision. With elegance. Someone who understands what it means to lose something beautiful to a tyrant’s decree.”
Rarity: *carefully* “You want me to betray Celestia?”
Prince Blueblood: *softly, almost sorrowfully* “I want you to restore what was unjustly stolen. My mother. My father’s dignity. The balance that Celestia shattered.”
