I think that everyone should generally save any media that they find value and may want to revisit in the future.
I learned this lesson the hard way with music, I used to just collect music I liked in a YouTube Playlist, but I kept noticing that videos got deleted. Initially I used my browser history to figure out what this link was and then replace with another upload. But this happened over and over again.
Nowadays I download all music that I like right away and if I want to listen to it I've set up a keyboard shortcut to start vlc with all of it added with a random play order.
Sure I could watch MLP on YT, I've still downloaded it though so that my access to it does not depend on how they handle their site in the future.

So when one finds value in porn and wants to revisit the same image/video in the future it is only rational to download it.
