For the same reason some people think modern art consisting of randomly assorted shapes and paint splatters is good. The same people that want to fill cities with ugly sculptures, blocky buildings, and 3rd-worldesque murals. They have no concept of what is good and beautiful. They seek to tear down good and beautiful things and replace it with ugly things, like Soviet block housing for example.
