Imagine if this truly was his fate.
Imagine if he actually got a tiny taste of Equestria. He actually woke up there, was greeted by Applejack, and thought for one moment his existence would have meaning.
And then was told that he'd be spending the rest of eternity in Tartarus for his crimes. The last he saw of Applejack as he's dragged away screaming is her looking at him sadly.
