I can solve that for ya OP. Why do people hate Fairy Type in Pokemon? It's girly and feminine so they see it as a threat. Watching people jump through hoops scrambling to think of bullshit illegitimate reasons to hate Fairy Type makes it very clear it's all artificial. It's performative.

Basically, anything that "seems gay" provokes a fear response in reactionary men who have an insecure masculine ego. Whenever something cute and girly shows up they panic, they NEED to say something to other people that lets them know THEY'RE not gay, they're a REAL man who would never associate with something so....so GAY. So they do this exaggerated response where they feel the need to publicly attack the "gay" thing.

It's always been the exact same fucking thing with MLP. People get irrationally angry at it because they feel threatened by girly pretty ponies. Failed, inadequate men are not secure or mature enough to be vulnerable or tender, so they insist on attacking anything that could ruin their street cred. Impulsively. It is quite fucked.
