>What is SS13?
Space Station 13 is a multiplayer online game similar to Find the Traitor games like Werewolf, Town of Salem, and more. However, it is also a detailed atmospherics simulator, as well as a great venue for roleplay and immersion. It's set on a space station of course, and the players must work together in different departments to keep it running smoothly - until the traitor explodes the engine core and everyone dies.

>Ponies in Space
This server has a /tg/ update that was made for April Fools but works as a normal game. Pegasi, unicorns and earth ponies were added each with their own unique ability. Vibes are MRP but fun IS allowed.

>Development Goals
The current development plan is to create an Everfree Forest region for the ponies to visit and mine as a snapshot preview of the big picture: an Equestria Simulator where plots and shenanigans that would fit into the show can play out. Conversion of existing systems is planned: antagonists can be reskinned, departments like science and chemistry can be converted into magical research and alchemy, et cetera.

Well what I mean by that is like... if you have an idea for something to do that would be interesting, involve the rest of the station, and have an arc for completion, you should tell me and we can do it. Admin can spawn anything, edit map tiles, give you insane powers, etc. If you want to like... invade the station in the name of Outworld and declare Mortal Kombat for example, that would be funny and we could make it work. Just as an abstract example for a "literally anything other than just blowing up the station" idea, but still.

And here's what we discussed last night in the chat:

In a chat discussing new Kirin sprites, users provided feedback, noting that the front-facing eyes and back-facing head of the "nirik" sprite looked odd, though some liked the overall look. The spriter confirmed the eyes were drawn as fully white based on reference, and there was discussion about potentially showing different pupil colors. Users liked the included fang sprites, suggesting they could be added to changelings.
The conversation expanded to potential game mechanics tied to species. For Kirins, the idea was discussed that they could burst into flames or become fireproof/lava immune when their mood is low ("insanity"), tying this to the existing mood system or requiring a containment suit like plasmamen. This enraged state could involve fire damage on touch or heating up the atmosphere. There was also a note that the Kirin sprite changing when enraged is the plan.
Another topic raised was adding male and female versions of the general pony sprite, as the current sprites were seen as looking like mares. Suggestions for differentiating stallion sprites included a boxier or "line" muzzle, subtly changing the nose/eyelashes, and potentially making them taller using an existing height modification system (like the dwarfism/acromegaly genes use, which adjusts height by adding/removing pixels).
The chat also briefly touched on Bat Ponies perhaps having light sensitivity balanced with night vision and the existing height system in general (liking it for distinction but finding scaling weird).

NTA but also a linuxfag. Tried both this post, as well as running BYOND through Lutris. I can boot into a server but I get about 1fps and the chat panel is beyond fucked. Sadly I think SS13 relies too much on ancient Microsoft/Internet Explorer fuckery to run on anything but native Windows.
