I've been working on Friendship Is Still Magic, a project that exists in my own head. To complete the Creative Canon of the show. I don't like calling it the Faust Canon. I really like Friendship is Magic, therefore it bothers me that Season 1 is an unresolved show. Technically you can say the story wasn't important it's 90% funny episodes. But that's 100% is it? And Lauren at the time was too busy answering "What age are da ponies because I want to have sex with them? Do Pegasus fart methane? What do you think of Bronies?"
But regardless even if she has or does say anything about the three mysteries of the show, we don't know what would have happened because things change during production.
So I've taken to answering them myself. The biggest obvious mystery that season 1 hits you with over and over is why is Equestria frozen in time. If the whole world was it woul just be a fact of the fantasy world like talking horses. But the Everfree forest is not frozen in time. The clouds move, the plants grow, the seasons change, the animals take care of themselves, and yes the sun and moon do raise on their own outside of Equestria but I don't want to type too much. Everyone knows Lauren Faust wanted the Everfree Forest to slowly expand into Equestria during the show and be a constant threat/problem, and technically that did make it into season 1, it is mentioned in the second episode.
But what was the message? I think that in the end the Everfree Forest and Equestira were going to mix together. If you look at Lauren's two episodes the Everfree is shown to be compatible with the ponies, the manticore needed help, the sea monster was causing waves until they helped him. I think the ponies would have learned to live in a world with natural weather and seasons and plants. As for why Equestria is frozen in the first place I think I have an idea of why that is.
Now what I've really loved is my idea for how the series would have ended. Which is a big Smooze 3 part finale which actually concludes all three mysteries or story elements, the third being Twilight's destiny. The smooze would come from the south east and begin to swallow up towns. Causing refugee ponies to evacuate to other towns. And ultimately you have all the characters we met overtime come together into the Ponyville/Cloudsdale/Canterlot area. The smooze is capable of launching itself from mountains to reach Pegatropolis. And just like the original movie once the smooze is on you you can't get it off, but also it's able to stir up and expand even if it's on you so you're a risk.
I'm determined to have Rainbow Dash die here. As the element of loyalty she would stay behind longest to help evacuate Ponyville and end up dying. All the ponies end up in Canterlot. Celestia and Luna can hold it back but it just keeps coming.
