I pretty much dropped out of the fandom after G4 ended and got involved in other things, but I just watched the G5 movie on a whim and it was actually pretty good. It awakened in me a lust for horse pussy that I haven't felt in many years. Can I get a quick rundown on what's happened in the fandom since then? I see there was a G5 TV series; was it any good? Any other notable developments I should know about?

Some people enjoy the G5 TV series. I think it fucking sucks. There's some good characters (Zipp, Sonia for example) but the writing is absolutely brainrot.

What's popular in the fandom right now are fan animations and fan created works, there are tons of great ones.

G5 Characters are good but stuck in a budget world. The corporate meddling is present from day 1 after the movie, and it's a bumpy up and down ride as they squander what was given to them on a silver platter.

Thanks for the recs. After listening to a couple of those songs, I don't think it's for me. He apes so hard from Beatles and ELO that it's kinda distracting. But it looks like he's still making pony music after over a decade, so I appreciate that.
