But she mentions that girls media sucks because boys aren't allowed to be interested in it. I think the problem is that girls don't really care, or maybe no one knows what they want. Is Powerpuff girls a girl's cartoon? it's mostly watched by men, just like Firendship is Magic is.
I had a sister she liked Spongebob and The Weekenders. What is a girl's cartoon? Because any time a "good girl's cartoon" is made it's watched mostly by men.
Women like clothing and makeup, and that is in Friendship is Magic season 1 you have an entire episode about dress making. So I guess it's girly girl show but frankly I think the only way to distinguish boy and girl media is by what it's trying to appeal to sexually.

Tumblr was full of women posting gifs of male actors, from shows you'd never heard of as a man. That's why they also like true crime garbage because they want the bad boy to violently rape them.

I think she just meant that instead of making a show that was strictly aimed at little girl (which would have been boring for most of the audience that wasn't female) she made a show that was actually aimed at everyone by including themes that are interesting not only for little girls but also for boys and adults.

I remember when Lauren, Craig and other folks in the cartoon industry were saying that in the 2010s.
I've grown up and today, children's cartoons haven't moved an inch, but I feel like the industry realised it's not just kids that will easily consume garbage.
A mere 15 years and we've gone all dystopian on entertainment.
