What was it like watching this or any of the EQG girls movies in theaters? Were parents horrified by all the adult men surrounding them and their daughters? Was it awkward or stinky? Were there a lot of plushes in the theaters? Did bronies ever get threatened by parents?

When are cinemas not stinky? At least in the usa, even movies for women attract women who don't shower. Now imagine movies with a mostly male audience (male odor is stronger)

I have never been to a theater that smelled bad. Not even cinemare night at mare fair last year.

Glimmerflaggot is going to Mare Fair this year. Prepare accordingly and bring air freshener.

Yeah, I've been wondering if parents told adult pony-loving men not to come to theatres back in 2017. Anons who were there, how'd it go?

Why would they? They have no right to tell someone with a valid ticket not to go.

It made $61.3 million at the box office. It sounds like barely anyone went in the first place.

maybe if it was good it would've been $613 million. you know, like how the reason the fandom took off was because everyone went in expecting to hate g4 and it subverted their expectations. they could have just done it again for the movie.
but nooooooooo.

The German community managed to organize a private viewing of the pony movie in a theater. Half the seats were filled by plushies of various sizes. Everyone cheered during key moments in the movie. It is one of my all time favorite memories.

Just don't go on opening night? I went to see Zootopia and gave up my seat so a mom wouldn't have to sit on the aisle steps, then I went and set next to some dad with his wife and kid. I felt like I shouldn't be there, so I stopped going to see kids movies.

You gave up your seat, for what? You expected her to give you a blowie or something? She gave you a forced smile and forgot about you the next minute.

Is this bait? This is not a bus, you paid for your place specifically. The security can even throw you out if they notice you loitering around without a place (after you gave up yours). You just needlessly disrupted the order.

"Being kind" is buying two tickets and gifting the spare one. What you did was self-defeating nonsense that won't be tolerated by theatre staff.

Kinoplex wageslave reporting. If the auditorium isn't heavily booked, it isn't a big deal. We're only going to find out if it starts an argument and someone comes out to complain about their seat getting stolen.

I was 15 when this came out and it was the first movie I went to see by myself. It was a mostly empty theater and i'm pretty sure most of the people who were there were bronies like me

I paid for MY chair for a movie I can't remember the name of and when I got in the room I saw a woman sat there with a mentally challenged man (who made noises all throughout the film). I had to sit somewhere else because I felt awkward telling her to move.
