Wrong place wrong time. They are shit, since EQ is not what anyone wanted for a movie and SG is a twilight pre-season 3 finale. If twilight got her wings later or not at all and starlight was introduced I’m sure it would turn out better. And if we got a better MLP movie, then EQG was a later spin off, then people would hate it less, but that inherently sucks because many come to the show for ponies.

Shimmy herself isn't a bad character, EqG itself is questionable though. It'd have been better if EqG wasn't tied to FiM at all and was it's own thing.
