There isn’t a single group of people on this earth that I hate more than glimmerniggers, they’re the horsefucker equivalent of retards who can’t think for themselves, who consume and believe whatever it is the media tells them.
The writers fed them their most shitty blatant attempt at a Mary Sue dipped in glitter covered shit, and not only did they do like it, they even ask for more.
They see Glimmer’s manipulative and controlling tendencies as a “quirk” that makes her more “cute”, showcasing that they haven’t been in a relationship in their entire lives, or if they have they suffered from Stockholm syndrome for their partner.
Not only that, they even have the gall to pretend to be the victims and that the hatred for their waifu is unwarranted just because everyone else can see through the writer’s thinly veiled attempt at a twilight clone to overtake the show and the rest of the mane 6, except much shittier and with a “tragic” backstory, God, glimmerfags are pathetic.

I do not like her as a pony or even as a character for the show. She herself is some kind of parody of annoying whyte women. And her character serves no purpose. Of course the problem is they got rid of Trixie a likeable character, Lauren expressed she saw Trixie as a real potential villain. But with their obsession with reforming villains, they needed a new Trixie.
And that's what she feels like, a very forced character and unnecessary imitation if they just did Trixie right instead. She should have had a far different personality.

And if we're talking about Season 5, with things like episode 100, they don't know what they're doing, obviously.

Why does everyone like Trixie? She's the most annoying person ever, you wouldn't want to spend 5 seconds around someone as arrogant and full of herself and dismissive of others as her. Yet she's still a likeable character at all times. Something to think about. Partly Trixie and Gilda feel real and you can get where they're coming from and they famously did nothing wrong. They're not blindly evil for no reason, Babs was bullied, Discord is just having fun because he doesn't care about anything, Chrysalis needs to feed of love to survive.
But after season 4 it was decided that the mane 6's new job was to go around the world and condescend and talk down to people. So they invent the worst possible character, to start this new direction off for them to go and deal with.
Starlight Glimmer represents every terrible thing.
