A few days ago I wanted to prove a point to someone, and here it is, I went to the pink aisle and there were no My Little Pony toys, but lots of knockoff other horse toys. Some big ones some small all kinds. Do they have shows? Probably not and either way it doesn't matter. Hasbro doesn't care about the show because girls are given horse toys regardless. What's funny is there's girls who probably get these toys and still watch MLP G5 and are fine with it. The point is it's a cute horsey. These are for girls that can hardly talk. And you're getting up being like "weeell G5 ain't doing good it's a disaster of a show they're going to go back to G4, in fact they're going to target bronies!" As long as there's cartoon horses on screen, the quality of the cartoon doesn't matter for toy sales.

And so I want to explain once and for all. At the height of bronydom, when the internet was taken over, when ponies were on the news because of us. Hasbro STILL went with toy trains, alicorns, Equestria girls, and playset castles. And for over ten years since they have continued their pathway, they have never done a single good thing. And you want to have faith they're going to EVER make a spiritual successor to FiM season 1-3? They don't care. But please call them, tell Hasbro that the last remnants of the bronies, /mlp/, want you to make the ponies sexy again. /mlp/ that place that tarnishes your innocent child brand every day all day.

Yeah. I just looked it up now, I think the company is a walmart exclusive seller deal. So instead of selling My Little Pony which is expensive they just make cheaper toys that are the same thing and sell them. I don't even know where you'd buy MLP toys then in Canada. But these toys sell, even without a cartoon.

But also I want to add, because people sometimes think Hasbro wants bronies because bronies spend so much money. They spent lots of money on fanmade stuff. Yes also a bit on the trading cards and official stuff sure whatever. But I think Hasbro expected it to be a fad and the point is MLP is never going to be anything ever again.
And I don't want to hear anyone anymore on this board try and claim that "just wait until G6 you'll see." You'll see it's gonna be more trash.

The MLP show wasn't actually supposed to be the brand main selling point but rather just a big TV advertising to attract little girls into buying My little pony toys and merchandising.
It's kinda like Sonic or pokemon anime but for little girls.
Hasbro most likely didn't even expect the show to gain that much traction.
In fact g4 itself is very low budget and cheap looking especially in the first episodes.
It's only after they noticed that the show was making more money than they expected that they started investing into the show more by improving quality, releasing movies and even to the point where they pushed for 3D graphics to be on pair with big movie company giant like Disney and or DreamWorks.
All this without counting the fact that Hasbro isn't even a movie company but rather a toy company focused on just toys and merch.
And this is most likely the reason why they had no clue what to do because their main goal as a company was still selling toys and merchandise and didn't really manage to get what was the show actual appeal and hire actual talents that fitted the making of the show and movies.
So they instead of evolving the company and giving importance to the show and the new audience that was forming, they just made mid but expensive movies in order to attract more little girls into buying toys and that's it. Until people eventually moved on and the show was ultimately ended and the brand became less and less relevant.

Now all the toys you see are all knockoff by some smaller toy companies that tries to ride on the faded MLP fim success that still somehow persist today on a smaller grade.

Oh its the same troll that already revealed itself in the other thread where they think G5 is any success at all with any demographic period.
No you moron its a failure now fuck off you're worthless and pathetic
I checked the pony aisle religiously in the early 2020s and here you come having done one single field research trip in your pathetic life and act like you figured it out
You aren't shit you ain't even the brap
You don't even know about hairmazing fantasy unicorn
You don't even know about the BLM era of Walmart horse toys where only black owned businesses were allowed to have horse toys on the shelf
Really you only know one thing at all, and that is whatever you see currently with your broken eyes because you're self centered and have a broken head

You seriously just don't get it. Hasbro is not interested in making good cartoons.

I didn't even notice that they even have cutie marks. I don't know if MLP came up with cutie marks but that's surprising to me they can get away with that, not that I care, I hope someone else, you know... if they can make toys that are exactly like MLP then someone just make a show. And I know their are other cartoon horse shows.
And maybe one day that will happen. Hasbro will never make a spiritual successor to FiM but anyone else could I guess.

Children don't play with toys anymore, they play with their iPads and mobile phones.

These toys are for children who live in poverty. That's why it's knock-off China slop.

Yes that's something I was going to bring up but is a bigger topic, in general I'm not sure what toy companies like Hasbro plan to do with toys being far less important now. Millennials still buy them for their kids. Gen Z will less so and less so and so on. Or maybe moreso if people smarter up, because obviously it's not good to give children screens to watch garbage on youtube. All that creepy gross kids content on youtube is still going on, the elsa spiderman stuff was just one section of it.

Your kids will grow up to have the attention span of a goldfish and they will do the most stupid suicidal shit for the smallest amount of attention. Kids need toys to encourage their intellectual stimulation through playing and imagination. Phones just hand them the stories instead of having them create their own. Watching the content farm slop doesn't encourage them to think or be creative. It fries their brains and eyes with constant seizure producing visuals. Don't forget that most of the content farm slop they consoom is grooming them to grotesque fetishes and early sexual exposure. The world is going to burn from plastic waste and refusing to buy your kids toys isn't going to change that.
