Should I even continue the rest of the season at this point?
I fucking hate this episode
>intro is mediocre
>the two fillies showcased in the intro have sparkledog color schemes
>somehow the friendship journal is crumbling apart because it’s “been so long” since they opened it
>Poochie just clones it into pristine condition books with zero effort
>Twilight Sparkle distributes these copies with zero effort in the literal sense for other ponies to read
>ponies who read the book end up getting “the wrong message” and begin harassing the M6 in extreme ways
>episode ends with Poochie “solving the problem” by telling the M6 to not give a shit about their friendship journal fans and their criticisms, esp including the one pony who said “Alicorn Twilight is bad”
etc etc etc
It’s incredibly OOC for the show, more so then slice of life which is considerably more bearable to watch.

At least the pears episode before this was somewhat good, albeit seeing recolored baby pony models conversing was uncanny.

Pretty much everyone considers it to be a dogshit episode and you might find other episodes to have some actual upside.

Surprised it took you this long to complain. I already had issues with Spike episodes, especially that early Dragon Lands one where he didn't want to stay in Ponyville because "I gotta be a real dragon" or Power Ponies.
There are good episodes later down the road still, but not the majority. The one where Starlight and Trixie have a road trip is excellent. The Big Mac Question too, even though he should've just done Cheerilee. Dungeons and Discords, I don't remember if it was in these seasons or not.
Anyway Season 8 will be bad for you most of the time due to school of friendship shit and the antagonist being evil out of nowhere, she's worse than Sombra.
There's also an episode with Kirins in S8, it's pretty nice but it's something that should've been done at least in 2015 so that they could maybe reappear.

Secrets and Pies is pretty much the only remaining good episode of S7 after that. Everything else is completely forgettable, unless you have an inanimate TF or bee sting fetish. Then you'll want to watch A Health of Information as well.

Power Ponies is fine, its pony focused, plot is something cool
As for that "real dragon" episode, it sucked mostly, yeah. It's not very memorable but it isn't outright offending unlike this episode where the writer just gives a huge middle finger to fans and sets the moral to be "ignore fan complaints" as poochie's suggestion.

Just remembered, there's an episode in S9 where Fluttershy and Angel swap their bodies and Angel as Flutters causes trouble, it's a nice simple concept that fits S1 if anything.

That episode is an especially low point. Didn't Larson say that the episode he made wasn't anything like the script he submitted? The rest of S7 is better, but you're watching Haber-era episodes, so don't expect quality.
