That sounds useful! So far we haven't had a problem with repeat puzzles, at least not me personally, but I anticipate it being an issue over time.
I think Anon's point was that we seem to have a few anons who like doing puzzles but don't have the time/energy/collection to host puzzles. Hosting a puzzle is easy but sourcing artworks can take a bit of time. An archive of past puzzles might actually help with that too - preventing repeats, but also being a repository of art with potentially good puzzlepity to do again, since not every anon will have participated in every puzzle, they could host it themselves. And if we could rate the fun factor of a puzzle and record optimal piece counts and stuff...

While I wouldn't mind a puzzle archive I also don't take issue with repeat puzzles, personally I've done more than I can count, sometimes it's a fun puzzle or a nice art or maybe just want to do a puzzle more than anything else.

Do you guys have any opinions on allowing image preview or not? When hosting I tend to prefer having the puzzle as a surprise for everyone, and when solving I also avoid looking at the preview for the same reason, but almost everyone seems to leave it allowed. Do people use it and is anyone annoyed when puzzles disallow it?

I like the surprise of discovering the mare so I began disabling preview on my own puzzles too, though as host sadly there is no surprise. In fact sometimes I wonder if it's okay that I have an unfair advantage knowing roughly where things go, so I deliberately leave stuff for other puzzlers to solve. Although I've used preview a few times on particularly tough puzzles.

I like the idea that each puzzle host has their own style. The urge to try and be a good host is there, but you're right that there's no need to compromise. It's good to hear feedback though. I stand by the principle that mare puzzles are a great way to enjoy and appreciate pony art together and would like it to be the best experience it can be.

Believe it or not, but, I write the lyrics myself, so it can take anywhere from a day to a few days to write one. The rest of the time is spent trying to wrangle SUNO into getting the sound I want with the style tags, sometimes it can take upwards of 5 generations to get something I'm satisfied with the sound of, or if I figure out the lyrics need tweaking, but sometimes it can just take 1 or 2. Other than that, it's pretty a straightforward process.
