There needs to be a serious case study on why unicorns are so prone to mental instability. I’m talking analysis on brain activity, brain cell degradation, personality tests the works.

There's an excellent chart explaining typical traits of all 3 pony tribes, but I can't find it despite searching for 30 mins. I know it's on my hard drive somewhere.

Anyway it described unicorns as intellectual and depressive, "quick to melancholy", unstable, which is absolutely real, higher general mental ability correlates with less stability. Pegasi are "quick to action" and earth ponies are "quick to mirth". It was almost a wall of text full of traits. I wish I could see it again, but cant seem to find it. I think it had pointy ponies on it.

Oh yeah and it also had short description about usual pony names in each tribe. Unicorns usually are named in reference to astronomy, pegasi in ref to weather and forces of nature and earth ponies to agriculture, food and leadership.
