I do agree on the huge amount of custom content though, especially when most of it isn't used. But what do I know? Haven't touched tf2 in so long because casual is unplayable.

Calamity is still ass, even with a total boss rework. Modern Thorium isn't much better, though it at least had addons to make the new damage types less ass.

It didn't, and there's still diddlers on staff as per usual. MountainDrew just happened to be the easy one to throw under the bus to save the others.
The only change is less direct Fagsol self inserts, and more non-Fagsol self inserts.

There is also THG if you are in eu, but its 28 players not 24, doesn't allow mods, and the admins are faggots that will ban you for saying something is gay.

Overall not positive. Feels like somebody's first zDoom project, where they shoved in everything they liked from the FPS games they played, to the point of it becoming uncomfortable with how much they reference and lift. Basically every aspect you can think of is not quite up to snuff, from the graphics, sound, gameplay, map design and even the story. Reminds me of a pony themed Harmony.

Presentation is the most obvious shortcoming. The very first frame of art made me laugh, and it never got better from there. I know spriting a whole game is massive undertaking, but I still draw the line at having character's heads be a literal circle. The flat shaded weapons are unimpressive, and the spritework on enemies makes them blend together in the heat of combat.
Sound is better than that, mostly because a bunch of sound effects are lifted from other games. The voice acting is what you'd expect from an amateur production, but Scootaloo's voice actor reminded me of the special needs girl from Riding The Bus With My Sister, and it made hearing her belt out the groan inducing one liners all the more painful.

Gameplay is aping Rise of the Triad, weapons with limited ammo you discard when done with, although there's only 2 per slot. Weapons are arguably fine, but the implementation is not, especially how bad the alt-fires are. The enemy roster is just bizarre, with high-tier enemies having an eclectic mix of overstacked abilities. The Replicant Enforcers from FEAR have grenades AND the Hexen Centaur shield AND Scorpion's get over here grapple AND a shitzillion health. The effect is oscillating between roflstomping the goobers with minimal effort and getting chunked by the gank brigade depending on how the level designer was feeling.
Level design is short and sloppy. Very minimal attention payed to theming or arena design. Multiple encounters with enemies in tight corridors where maneuvering intelligently is impossible, and multiple encounters in areas so wide enemies pose no threat because of your mobility. The boss levels were fine I guess.

Who would I recommend this to? You gotta be real dedicated to FPS jank and pony to be interested in it. The secret Rainbow Factory level from Raridoom left me feeling more satisfied with the time spent.
Sometime this year the team deleted everything to do with the mod and retooled it into Project Absentia (available in early access until it gets sued for plagiarism), so I guess this is all you're going to get.

I'm probably rambling nonsense since I'm tired, but I can hopefully clarify anything after I wake up.
