So, I want to start making music. I've written some lyrics, but I don't know how to play the guitar with them. What chords should I play, how should I strum, etc. Maybe it's because I never learned how to sing and play at the same time. Advice?

Maybe ask the guitar general
Learn to play / sing some basic songs that you enjoy. You'll never improve if you're working on something you don't like. Songwriting is very easy. Don't take it so seriously. You'll be churning songs out in a few months.
Regarding the actual playing and singing: slow it down. Find where the melody fits between the chords. Record yourself and post in critique threads.
