>>126714078Yo, glad to see Enablers being mentioned. End Note and Output, Negative Space are my favourites from them. Enablers is perfect for anyone interesting in the brooding spoken word of Spiderland. Lifelikeweeds is sick too for that single track; they have a 2-song self-titled EP that's more blues-y I think.
I think recommending something like Spiderland is tough becuase it brings a lot of different things together really well, so you need to know what it is you really like about it (or any album) to figure out where to go from there.
I'll second all the recs for Abilene, Lowercase (

>>126710628) also kicks ass, even if I'd say it's too far into screamo to appeal to anyone wanting more Spiderland.
My own recs:
>Deliluh - Day Catchertheir first few albums are Spiderland rips even if they don't want to admit it, but they gradually moved on from the sound
>Sofa - Source Crossfirethis is a recomp of most of their old material; more noise rock
>Monopot - Something Is Like Nothing Wasslow post-rock, kind of a mixed bag of an album, but has some intense songs
>Picastro - Red Your Blues & Metal Caresslow post-rock of the rare bitter variety
>goldenstar - self-titled EPa debut that came out January, really excellent and the band I'm most excited for right now; a properly good slowcore album with really tight lyricism; they've got more in the works too and one of the guys behind the project named Picastro as a recent influence, being interested in expanding the tone of their next release
