I have listened to the entirety of Pet Sounds probably around a dozen times trying to figure out why people like it. I eventually came to the conclusion that it's nothing more than a shitty meme. I've also listened to an assortment of other songs that they released throughout the 60's and early 70's
I'm completely serious when I say the Monkees are better. Last Train to Clarksville is simply better than any Beach Boys song. It's just more enjoyable
