Fucking hell. As someone who saw them for HAARP and The Resistance, they need to stop now. It's over.

Also like why do so many of their new songs repeat the title as a bridge.

M-M-M-Madness
Compliance
Dig Down

it's cool. all lead singles from the past like 4 albums have been dogshit. there's a certain energy and sense of restraint to this one that feels more in tune with their pre-resistance work.

It's not offensively bad which is an improvement

they've been mostly dogshit since they incorporated moar synth into their sound. also the metal riff is generic as hell and ofc matt decided to go with even lower string.
can they just go back to their Resistance sound pls?

it's so fucking over
and what's more, them releasing dogshit after dogshit makes me question even the albums i used to like because matt bellamy is proving himself to be more and more of a hack each release

The visuals look like a rip off of Freddie Dredd, which is itself a rip off of Anderson from Hellsing

Some of the sounds are nice but i didn't like the chorus. It has Karnivool vibes but the sound is less coherent. The bit where he says this is a hymm for (something) just annoys, it's meant to be a big sound but doesn't hit

I'm trying to think of what I would actually want from Muse in the current year. It's hard to say.

They need to do something laid back, they need to be more like Beck. This try hard shit doesn't work anymore and they don't have anything interesting to say. Just make good rock songs have fun and don't take it so seriously so I can fucking relax guys.

Well that's an interesting comparison, supposedly they are finally releasing new songs this year

I like Karnivool but the last single they released literally had 'keep waiting' and 'be patient' in the chorus and it shit me off lmao. I'm pretty sure it's well over a decade at this point, it's Tool tier. It would surprise me if they released anything but i'll hope its true nonetheless. I assume that other thing Ian Kenny does is more successful

Tool took 13 years to release a new album
Karnivool are currently taking 12
