>>126786143 (OP) >i hear lots of people say you don't get it until you go deaf to it. That's because you have to be literally deaf to think Oasis is good.
>>126787827 Not really, many of their songs are sensitive in some way wonderwall and dlbia aren’t unique in that sense.

>>126786143 (OP) There’s something weird about the production on their first few albums, I think everything must be mixed super loud or something because the effect is that it all sounds the way music at a rock concert sounds after you’re half deaf from listening to loud music for the last hour straight. It’s a weird effect, I’ve never heard anything quite like it, at least not on a big name release
>>126787827 There’s always been a weird disconnect between the way they carry themselves like sleazy scumbags but are basically a worship band for people that worship themselves, neoliberalism, Manchester FC or some combination of the three. Think about it, it’s Christian rock in every way except the lyrics

>>126788011 idk if this post is ironic but i'll bite and say the brickwall compression is literally oasis's trademark. the songs actually sound shittier without it, but also the bass playing was apparently barely salvageable without it, not that it's even audible on most songs
>>126788032 I figured I wasn’t the first person to ever say that, I’m a bandwagoner that only gave them a serious listen after they announced they were getting back together so they’re basically new to me.
