why do boomers worship this obviously mid album? did they fall for some sort of marketing campaign?

Context is key. Compare that shit to other 4 track albums and learn how they did it and its fucking mind bending. Its like hearing 10ccs Im Not In Love and realizing its not samples but endless fucking vocal tracks. Unlimited tracks and ease of recording killed a certain type of creativity.

It's good, but it's filled with Mccartneys granny tunes, I think they weren't in a good creative moment and Paul had to carry them.
Lennon only made one good song in Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds and a Day in the Life (done together with Paul).
George could have used this opportunity to show his work but apparently it couldn't top
for the Benefit of Mr. Kite.

Never liked this album outside of the very strong bookends. Sgt. Pepper's โ€“> W/ A Little Help/Lucy in the Sky; and Sgt. Pepper's Repriseโ€“>A Day in the Life are all great, meanwhile the rest of the album is all boring granny shite. (Lovely Rita is pretty good too.)

I've actually done a pretty exhaustive deep dive on Scaruffi's reviews just to try and give him the benefit of the doubt and see if there's any there-there, but there really isn't. He's just really bad, and gets it wrong on basically everything. The general gist of his shtick is that he likes overrated toilet sounds with some notoriety, or stuff that's just aggressively mediocre while being just pretentious or cringy enough to annoy. He's never wrote a paragraph of substance or interest on anything, it's all just ostentatious word-salads and it's a real wake up call when you realize that the emperor /mu/ built up has no clothes

No he wasn't. I can totally get why he doesn't really like the beatles too much but in his album reviews he's obsessed with proving the idea wrong that they were these huge innovators and always says some dumb shit like "Them doing this a year later than everyone else makes them sound like they are from the stone age". I think most people understand that they largely followed existing trends but they still brought forward a huge variety of ideas to the masses and were constantly evolving

He rated King Gizzard 7.5 and anything done by Led Zep, Nirvana, Siouxsie or Cranberries a maximum 7.

For him a Redditor band is better than some of the peak classics of rock lmao

is that an insult? imagine being 70 you'd be a young man in the 70's, peak music, peak women, actual freedom, no smart phone, no social media, fresh air, sunshine, optimism, just peak everything

when you get to 70 do you think your life will compare to a guy who's 70 now? fuck no

North Americans did psych and rock and roll better. Influence moved both ways but it always landed where it should have. Boomers creamed over lots of shit, and Bob Dylan has a Nobel Prize. In the end the music will finally speak for itself.
