it's what happens when you chase trends to try to stay relevant. should have never leaned into electronic stuff and stayed a pure rock band.

It's insane how bands can shoot their load creatively and then never make a good album again

Their initial run of albums was great, ending with Absolution (which is like 9-10/10 for me), then they produced nothing but slop for 20 years after

Arcade Fire are another example. First 3 albums were genre-defining, then just endless slop afterwards

I'm joking, I've never listened to Muse that much but I really like Stockholm Syndrome, the guitar riff is so good.

I thought it was Donnie Darko in the mirror but apparently its just the woman, who's totally haunted or something. The jacket looks sick and i like the vibe.

Really i want to talk about the cover because i didn't like the song. I liked the song from like 50s to whenever the chorus started

Why are they trying to court the nu-weeb audience that just like Japan for the aesthetics and anime and nothing else?

Scatter gun approach and trying as many things to appeal to zoomers as they can. It's why they have metalcore breakdowns in the song for some reason too since it's what zoomies like
