I think the Thin White Duke was meant to be a weird satirical character about British society or something but due to the coke he took the bit way too far
I've never been fully convinced that he "didn't remember" that period due to cocaine psychosis. I believe that a lot of that was going on but was probably exaggerated in order to cover up his so-called pro fascist comments and make reporters move on from the topic
