Can someone explain to me why people hold Joanna Newsom in high regard when she literally does nothing on this album? 4 of the 5 tracks were entirely composed and produced by Van Dyke Parks, and she wasn't even present for the orchestral recording sessions. There are mainstream pop albums where the woman had more input than on here.
