This isn't even just a "muh zoomer" problem. It's been like this since at least the late 90s.
All the footage I've ever seen of Deftones gives me the impression that they stopped practicing their guitars after month 1 and the fat spic fronting them is barely capable of projecting his voice.
Oasis were "cool rawk n roul" guys. Liam can't sing at all live and Noel + HFB suck live too.
The Strokes were "cool". Julian can't sing for shit.
Even all the indie guys like Carseat and Mac Demarco that were shilled as "cool" by pitchfork were complete hacks on stage.
I was dragged to Aquabats and Koffin Kats earlier this month by my friend who needed a ride and had a free ticket.
Both of those bands are dorky and make music for redditors but they both could actually play everything to a T (and most of their shit is WAY harder than the previously mentioned band's material.)
