"In Bloom" is completely out of place on this album. Nevermind should be a 10, but because of In Bloom, it's a 9. I hate that song.

Very strange take. In Bloom is a stand out track and fits right in with the first half of the album. If anything, Stay Away or Lounge Act are the only weak links on Nevermind, and they're still great songs by themselves.

Nevermind [DGC, 1991]
After years of hair-flailing sludge that achieved occasional songform on singles no normal person ever heard, Seattle finally produces some proper postpunk, aptly described by resident genius Kurt Cobain: "Verse, chorus, verse, chorus, solo, bad solo." This is hard rock as the term was understood before metal moved in--the kind of loud, slovenly, tuneful music you think no one will ever work a change on again until the next time it happens, whereupon you wonder why there isn't loads more. It seems so simple. A

this. list maker here, btw.
chorus of stay away, as well as the outro is shit. would replace with studio version of Pay to Play.
Territorial Pissings is usually the Jonathon Ross take for me. Overall not that strong of a song.
Something inna way was Batmanned, ruined it for me

Truth is, it's a great collection of songs the sum of which weighs more than its parts, from a time when people cared about producing entire albums. Drain You was my favorite song when I first listened to it and it's still my favorite.
