The frontline is very thin on that question. Jungle is basically older and used samples, and there's an argument for it being more devoted to stuff like dub, where dnb is more "programmed" if you like. I think arguments about bpm and arrangement are nitpicky and generally not persuasive. But realistically one bleeds into the other and the differences, if any, tend to be subtle, particularly in the early days.

Jungle is heavily sample based and was traditionally made with hardware samplers. DnB relies more on synthesis and is made with DAWs. But as >>126846607 says there's a lot of overlap.

Jungle had a rawer sound, using duller thumping sounds and more syncopated whipping beats.

DnB has always sounded drier, impersonal and technical, also somewhat more uptempo than jungle.
Early days dnb had a very specific recognisable sound with a very fast technical interplay between beats and basslines. The most illustrative sound I can think of is Roni Size

Dgohn, coco bryce (when he actually makes dnb like in Night on Earth), tim reaper

My fav tho is djrum, but he makes what i would describe more as progressive dnb, in that its similar to prog rock with longer tracks with lots of different sections that dont repeat and not neccessarily built for mixing. The idm of dnb, but without the silliness and sonic overload of drill and bass

Skip to 2:45 for the proper breaks to start
https://youtu.be/jznxbDOD6vk?si=YxAuAApDjl04im8K
A lot of his longer form tracks are like this, more techno-y stuff with ambient sections that eventually builds to a breaks climax

I recommend reading Simon Reynold's writings about the hardcore continuum if you want to really get into it.

Jungle came first, emerging from breakbeat hardcore crossing over with dub/ragga/dancehall vibes. BPMs could be anything from 150-180, lots of amen breaks, reese bass and other samples

Some of that started coalescing into drum & bass, the production became more polished and musical, most of it tends to be 170-180bpm, and several subgenres and styles grew from that

You're relying quite a lot on "anything from" and "most of it tends to be" - except that it's not so tidy. What can be definitively said is that jungle comes first, and there is a tendency in it relative to drum and bass. Anything else can be easily defeated even during the earliest days.

I had some familiarity with dnb/jungle but it was going through Foul Play's entire catalog(their remixes too, some even consider them their actual best work) that really kickstarted this obsession.
Although John Morrow is my fav member of the group, theres a lot of evidence that suggests Steve Gurley was the genius behind their very best tracks, as a significant drop in overall quality is present after his departure.

^that track, specifically this portion was what made me realize I had stumbled upon something truly special.
Morrow and the illusive Gurley made a DJ mix not too long ago.

and they still got it!

I thought this was relatively well known. Steve Gurley also made some excellent UK Garage after he left Foul Play.

I didn't know they did a DJ set recently, I will definitely have to check that out. I also only found out somewhat recently that they are from Northampton, I had to work in Northampton for a year and god it was such a fucking shithole, kind of makes me laugh that in the early 90s you could live in that hellhole but could have ran in to Foul Play playing at some club.

Basically the genre died when it ventured into technoid and crossbreed.
Because that meant that everything had been done and it could only push into more extreme territory, but how

I'm partial towards digital hardcore/pro-breakcore. The stuff that had a clear noise/industrial edge while not being as polished and spastic as the genre got in a post-Venetian Snares/Datach'i/Xanopticon era
