that PS3 is completely fucked. There is no using it anymore. I took the HDD out of it to try to get the files off on a PC but like I said they're encrypted and the only way to decrypt them is the key that is unique to each PS3. Hopefully some day someone will figure out how to crack it but this HDD is already pushing 20 years old I doubt it will still work by then.

I have used a program before called PhotoRec before to recover photos off of an encrypted CCTV hard drive, but I haven't tested it yet because I never thought about it until now.... brb.
