Is metalcore the worst genre ever? Every time I see these tattooed faggots with ear stretchers pull our their Ibanez's at gigs, I know I'm about to hear the most generic, tedious shit ever and I'm never proven wrong.

They're, like, the Imagine Dragons of metal. No honest authentic metalhead dresses like that. The music is what it is but I don't like the kind of guys that make up most of the scene. Bunch of queers.

Nah at this point it’s actually the most diverse and versatile form of metal. It is mostly free of gatekeeping and overly conservative attitudes towards metal which leads to a lot of creativity.

Also the mosh pits are far more intense than anything else in metal due to the hardcore influence and more fit dudes on average in the pit.

Also it’s not mostly a sausage-fest the hottest girls at metal shows I’ve seen are at metalcore shows.

Don’t get the hate on Ibanez and gauges, both predate metalcore in their existence.

There is a weirdly wide range of bands that can be considered metalcore even though they sound vastly different so its hard for me to just write off the whole genre. I really like bands like Ringworm or Shattered Realm but still like Killswitch Engage and Attack Attack sounds awful to me. When people say they like / dislike metalcore near me I must ask "what kind of metalcore?"
