Rubber Soul is great because it’s just mostly a jam album that you could tell they were having fun with. I mean I do love the groundbreaking production on the later albums but RS just stand outs as their most “soulful” album because it’s not trying to do too much.

I rate John to be a better singer than Paul, Paul is great but has he had moments that give you goosebumps because you can just feel the raw emotion like with Help or Day in the Life? Paul has gotten close though.

I Don't know how many times this needs to be said, but Rubber Soul will always be the overall superior album to Revolver on the sole basis of having to skip George's jeet songs

Yeah, on his solo work, especially in Ram. His voice is just smoother overall of course but he also had crazy range that John just didn’t. John wasn’t a bad writer at all but songs with Paul as lead vocalist usually rank higher for me.

Rubber Soul was a lot more unified as an aesthetic and a group effort than Revolver. After this, they all started to branch out into their own musical worlds, which isn’t a bad thing but it makes Revolver not one of their more cohesive or welcoming listening experiences. Rubber Soul was one of the last times the Beatles were more or less all on the same page creatively and working at peak musicianship.

Not very likely because there was barely anything leftover from the sessions to form a box set. Aside from the remixes, which are still too controversial with boomer audiophiles to make them guaranteed sellers on their own, the bonus tracks are the only other thing they have to pitch these reissues on.
And there are also just so many other projects floating in limbo, like the remixed Star Club tapes or an Anthology reissue, that internal politics and compromises with the Beatles estates are holding up. Apple now being owned by UMG is under constant pressure to deliver more product, but they keep second guessing themselves figuring out what to do next. The whole thing is cooked desu. Neil Aspinall is rolling in his grave.

The revised conventional wisdom among critics and hipsters is that Revolver is better because it was more groundbreaking and experimental and Sgt. Pepper was just reinventing the wheel, and only touted as an era-defining masterpiece because of massive hype and better marketing. I don't entirely agree. Pepper refined the innovations of Revolver and applied them to something that was more immediately enjoyable and friendly (I mean the first track literally invites you to "enjoy the show"). It was an ambitious musical statement but also one that was accessible and entertaining to a mass audience, the best of both worlds. It was pop-art in the purest sense of the term. It's not hard to imagine how that would resonate with large swaths of fans and average listeners in 1967 in a way that Revolver didn't the year before. It didn't become a cultural event just because it was highly anticipated and smartly promoted, it's also because it was just fucking good and exciting and fun as hell, and still retains some of that even today.

Not accurate.
They didn't invite you to enjoy the show.
They hoped that you would enjoy the show.
They invited the listener to sit back and let the evening go.

Revolver is better because it has a more consistent quality of songs and simply more top tier beatles songs on it vs Sgt. Pepper. The latter's first four songs are great but then it loses steam where most of the songs are just decent or okay, until A Day In The Life. Revolver has more top tier Beatles songs sprinkled throughout its tracklist
