Which Metallica album is the best?
Which, the worst?
Why?
>>126889703 (OP)Their best album is a tie between kill and justice.
you can actually hear cliffs bass on kill and the songwriting on justice is big and badass.
>>126889703 (OP)I did not enjoy Metallica's Metallica: Metal Licks Ya. I thought Fill Em All was derivative and vulgar as was Plumpin' with Fire and Fun Pork Givin'. Meanwhile, fusion entries like Fade Tupac and 2 Live is 2 Fly? Crossovers no one asked for. B-
Black Album easily. Itโs not their most consistent, but itโs got their best songs.
Their best is objectively MOP. RTL and KEA are close. AJFA and BA are also pretty good. Their worst is definitely 72 seasons. Boring, uninspired, shit solos, songs too long. It's like an album made cause it's their job, not because they want to make something good. Too bad most Metallica fanboys are braindead children who'll eat up any pile of shit Metallica puts out.
>>126889703 (OP)The correct answer is any one of the first 4 albums. Any answer is valid as long as its one of those choices. Ignore the rest of their catalogue, they are strictly an '80s band.
Metal Up Your Ass honestly. They just never got to the tier of early Dave solos
>>126891158>worst is definitely 72 seasons. Boring, uninspired72 sounds like AI compositions, with that horrible compression infested production, 72 is pure garbage
>>126889703 (OP)I don't get how Metallica got more popular than iron maiden, people tastes differ and all, but damn, Iron Maiden is my GOAT band, in a single record they beat Metallica whole discography...
>>126889703 (OP)best is either kill em all or ride the lightning
worst is anything from load onward. take your pick.
>The Best
No Life til Leather
>The worst
Everything after The Black Album
Ride the Lightning becuz Fade to Black changed me
Black album is the most mature one, I couldn't believe my ears when I heard Load and others after that
Ride
Master
Kill
Justice
Load
Magnetic
Black
Reload
Hardwired
Seasons
Ride being the best needs no explanation, flawless album from begging to end. Worst is 72 seasons, and im glad im not the only person to realize that it sounds like an AI generated album, its the most bland and generic album they've ever put out. I really dislike the generic production thats very common today on every metal album it seems. I like how with the first 5 metallica albums each have thier own distinct production. Death Magnetic would be a very good album if not for the bad production
>>126889703 (OP)>best RTL
>worstProbably Lulu, St. Anger is an honorable mention
Dave and Cliff were the creative force of the band, after they were gone they quickly ran out of ideas (though tbf the Black Album was one of those ideas, in terms of commercial success)
Depressingly, they never made a good album after hitting 30 or so. They were creatively spent by the end of their 20s (though their live shows have always been good)
Master of Puppets, Ride the Lighting and Black Album are all 10/10 in my book
>>126889703 (OP)Black Album is the best, worst is St Anger.
