Now that that's out of the way, too many midwits are filtered by Jackson Pollocks work. The point of Abstract Expressionism is that it acts as a design language with a focus on design and color theory and doesn't focus on concrete subject matter, it's meant to change to feeling of what would otherwise be negative space, which makes this type of artwork well suited for public spaces where you'll often see it displayed in like train stations or hospital waiting rooms or hotel lobby's. It doesn't mean it's necesarilly good or bad, but I feel like context is important when judging a given piece of artwork. Not everything has to be realism or romanticism made specifically for expensive art galleries. Pollocks work served its purpose for the time they were made. And then 50 years later and a bunch of retards start looking at it outside of its intended context and think they're smart because they point out its just a bunch of line and colors like a fucking toddler couldn't already tell you that.
