The worst part about work is the never-ending loop of 50 year old boomer radioslop

I worked in an Olive Garden
The music played in there is ghastly
Traditional pop of the worst calibre
The best song was a cover of Wonderwall
And the Christmas music is even worse

No.

Your choices are usually
>contemporary top 40
>the same 100 "classic hits" looped over and over to the point where they're seared in your brain
>an adult contemporary playlist that doesn't get any edgier than savage garden
>generic royalty free stock muzak

that's more because of Clear Channel playlists being the same 100 or songs regardless of the decade. so like if it's a 50s-60s playlist you'll be guaranteed to hear Earth Angel, The Banana Boat Song, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, and It's My Party.

I've heard on Steve Hoffman Forum how massive and inescapable "You Light Up My Life" was in the late 70s and now it's totally airbrushed from history.

We have a TV in the office that we play music from YouTube on. Most of it is fine or I can it ignore with my own headphones. But the algorithm almost always circles back to You Get What You Give by The New Radicals and it's become my number 1 most hated song. The music video for it is also terrible.

Of course not because they didn't make the Clear Channel 1955-63 playlist they always use but you'll always hear The Banana Boat Song and The Lion Sleeps Tonight.
