Do you think there is a quality difference between a group making music vs a solo artist? Seems like most of the best music came from groups, but also solo artists were more rare until recently so it could just be a numbers game.

well I didn't literally mean rare, I meant from 50's-2000 you had a lot more groups because technology wasn't there yet where one guy could do everything himself. Nowadays it's rare to find groups for that reason.
