Well to be fair all the classic rockers were starting to suck a bit by the late 70s (The who, zeppelin, wings, Sabbath)

Lots of blacks disliked it too because tons of soul/funk artists sold out and went disco just the same as all the rock bands. Mainstream disco generally kinda sucks

It was music specifically for gay black men. And white people hated it because you could see the potential if you had actual musicians making disco music. That's why dico never died, it evolved. You can see elements of it in every genre from outlaw country to today's most popular music. Black people's music is all wasted potential. That's why it never takes off til whites perfect it. Look at the blues, for example. Or rap music. It struggled for years to find a foothold until Eminem came along.

You could probably get everyone to destroy their old rap music now that it's known that it's a genre made by and for the gayest of blacks.

I mean shit like I will survive or play that funky music white boy or that's the way aha aha I like it. Hearing that shit ten times a day would make me hate all disco too. Bee Gees are another exception that I quite like

Most of them couldn't get their boogie on. After a year of embarrassing themselves at the clubs, guys decided they wanted to go back to being punks like they were doing back in 76, but some still wanted to go clubbing so we got new wave.

People trying to make it about race have terminal 2016-brainrot. It was viewed as gay/effeminate. Nothing to do with race.

It seems like disco dem did make a difference in pop culture. How did that work so well? There was very little disco left after 1980
