If you think Moonchild is the worst track, consider yourself filtered. It's really I Talk To The Wind.

Moonchild is good for 5 minutes. I Talk To The Wind is beautiful.

I Talk To The Wind is a very pretty song, but Moonchild is an ethereal odyssey of noises.

outside of 21st Century Schizoid Man, In The Wake Of Poseidon is a better album than Court Of The Crimson King

No way, famm.
Schizoid is better than Pictures of A City
I Talk To The Wind is better than Cadence And Cascade
Epitaph is better than In The Wake Of Poseidon
Moonchild is much better than Cat Food
The Devil's Triangle is really cool, but ITCOTCK is still better

I hate to admit it, but you have a point. Epitaph is not as impressive as it was when I was a younger man. In my early 20s, it was the most profound track on my initial listen. Now well into my 30s, it does feel a little melodramatic and heavy-handed, somewhat lacking in subtlety as well as complexity. I still really like it though.

I don't hate ITTTW one bit. It's really pretty and earthy. It's just that it's the lesser track on a monumental record. It turbomogs More Fool Me from Selling England By The Pound though.

I was about to call you unfathomably based for putting Lizard and Islands in your top 3, but then you blew it by putting Starless & Bible Black at the bottom.

the only good songs on that album are Lament & Fracture, with the latter sounding much better on their live album The Night Watch anyway.

well what is it's inspiration? Eleanor Rigby. where else do you go other than with a heavy hand when imitating your contemporary idol?
