I agree to an extent. But I also prefer artists who are passionate about their music and put their soul into it as opposed to industry plants who have everything they make made by a team of executives and producers. Also good live performances can make me like songs more than I would otherwise.

I stopped listening to Brand New after I had my daughter. I don't know if it's because I am now the father of one of Jesse Lacey's targets (at least she will be in 10 years when she's in junior high) or if it's because I finally grew up a little as a person because she made me do so.
