Thing about Ozzy is he's not just one of the creators of metal, he's also a massive metalhead and not above geeking out when listening to a great solo. In that way he's not just a great frontman but also an amazing MC. And through that he always had a great instinct when it comes to his collaborators. Truly ego-less.

I feel the same about Rob Halford and Bruce Dickenson. Old frontmen who just love metal and love doing shit. Dio was also the same. Just an amazing tier of guys who gave everything for this particular realm of music.

I admit very early sabbath songs work with his voice, but Ozzy has always been more of a mascot rather than an actual sentient actor.
People like Dio exist on an entirely different level and Dio Sabbath will always be vastly superior.
