Jacob Collier has a head for the technical side of music like no one else has and is basically your favorite musician's musician, but basically seems that the voice is the only instrument in existence. I'd love to see him do something with Polyphia and other math rockers or such to see if his so call talents can be applied for anything but classical music theory and capellas.

I went to a show of his recently (it was free), he's a great Entertainer, but I can't imagine ever putting on his music in any other setting. There's a part in one of his songs where all the instruments cut out and its just him going like "the most beautiful girl in the whole wide world" or some shit, just makes me wince so hard. The best part was definitely the audience choir. Maybe because he wasn't the one composing

I went to a show of his because I was gifted a ticket. I went in with 0 hopes since I don't like his music but I gotta say the show was pretty fun. He made a lot of short pieces and each one had its gimmick that made it really entertaining. The interactive stuff was very fun as well.
