Firstly to clarify, this is a common thing in the 'vaporrealm'. You craft your work, and somebody else, another artist posts for you as a.. well.. it's kind of a reference thing.

And lastly for how the sound came to be was from DJ Screw. I emulated/imitated it and brought about the genre, practically.

If you would care to ask about the essence of it, it's just about music being free. And a low to average (active) artist will have around 20 albums made with different names, to avoid getting legally fucked. We just want art to be free.

I'll give you the pass everyone hates being shared. Vaporwave is just chop-n-screw slowed down. The production is gatekept because people are faggots and are inauthentic to the art's creation.
Pride hmm.. I am *nothing* but proud. In a perfect world, to me anyway, everyone would make music like this and by fact it would grow unendingly. Do check the plebbit post and research the Club of Rome. Even Jay Dyer talked about it. On Alex Jones the cia nigger's show but oh well.
