I'm convinced that jazz is all just a charade for psueds to pretend they're intellectual. The music has no purpose, no motivating spirit, no substance. Jazz is music for inferior creatures to believe they are intellectual because they crafted music that is "complex", as if it's some measure of quality, while not realizing that complexity needs order to justify itself.

Just die with Bebop. I used to be about dancing and catchy songs before that. Bebop was a bunch of narcissistic blacks and couldn't stop playing their gay trumpets. Shred guitar rock. The only people who listen to it are the people who play it.

jazz can be aimless and forced a lot of the time but every once in awhile when you hear how the rhythm sections are contrasted by the lead melody you hear borderline original melodic harmonies that can make you feel in ways you don't hear from typical genres, Miles Davis as cliche as he is is my best example of this

Jazz is great, but you're not wrong.

It's like techno music is fun when you're at a party or on a long drive, but you don't sit in a dark room listening to an EDM song on headphones. Different music plays different roles. Jazz is just background music for rich party, has to exist in the background but also needs to be non-threatening enough to be ignored.
