they'll try to justify it by saying that there are no good albums and that they contain nothing but filler but the reality is, they just have shit taste in music

I do both. Sometimes, I just feel like shuffling my favorites or a single song and sometimes I feel like listening to albums. Where's the issue? I feel like the truly unbelievable idea is that there's people out there who don't at least semi-regularly do both.

Honestly, I think I have ADD or something. I've never had a particularly good attention span and have always culled the choice nugs from albums and shuffled them. I appreciate that an album can be its own unique kind of artform, but I don't value that as much as I value my time

in my country there is no album culture even today (its improving nonetheless), so ppl cant comprehend the idea of listening to albums and there goes music discourse the gutters
add to that the streaming platforms ruining everything
listening to an artist has watered down to listening to top 5 on spotify front page or "this is X" playlist
People don't just sit down and listen to albums anymore, and those that do are REALLY REALLY weird people. I know this because I do and I'm weird and the only other people that do are weirdos like me. Most people nowadays just listen to whatever playlist on spotify they've got going now.
