I had a doors phase at 24 and i dont associate good things with me being 24. The inherent lunacy and drugginess of the doors most definitely didnt help

I rediscovered them (after first being into them in my teens) in a bar in Thailand in my mid-30s. Been far more into them this time around than I ever was before. I think maybe they suit the sullen mood of getting older and realising just how fucked the world is, a bit more than they did my reasonably joyful teens. That whole "the future's uncertain and the end is always near" line feels so much more apt these days.
